چکیده
We present the microscopic kinetic theory of a homogeneous dilute Bose condensed gas in the generalized random phase approximation (GRPA), which satisfies the following requirements: 1) the mass, momentum and energy conservation laws; 2) the H-theorem; 3) the superfluidity property and 4) the recovery of the Bogoliubov theory at zero temperature . In this approach, the condensate influences the binary collisional process between the two normal atoms, in the sense that their interaction force results from the mediation of a Bogoliubov collective excitation traveling throughout the condensate. Furthermore, as long as the Bose gas is stable, no collision happens between condensed and normal atoms. In this paper, we show how the kinetic theory in the GRPA allows to calculate the dynamic structure factor at finite temperature and when the normal and superfluid are in a relative motion. The obtained spectrum for this factor provides a prediction which, compared to the experimental results, allows to validate the GRPA.

Gas condensate reservoirs are characterized by a distinctive retrograde behavior and potential for condensate drop out during production and sampling. Efficient modeling of gas condensate reservoir requires careful phase behavior studies of samples collected prior to and during the production life of reservoir. In this work, an integrated characterization and tuning algorithm is proposed to ana...

In the present article, the dynamic behavior of sandwich plates with embedded shape memory alloy (SMA) wires is evaluated for two cases wherein (i) the stress-strain curve of the superelastic behavior of the SMA wires is symmetric and (ii) the mentioned curve is non-symmetric. A modified version of Brinson’s constitutive model is proposed and used. The high non-linearity in the behavior stems f...

A linear response framework is set up for the evaluation of collective excitations in a confined vapour of interacting Bose atoms at finite temperature. Focusing on the currently relevant case of contact interactions between the atoms, the theory is developed within a random phase approximation with exchange. This approach is naturally introduced in a two-fluid description by expressing the den...
